The cover to Part Two was actually more work than for Part One, even though it didn't come out
as good as I would have liked. Again most images were taken
from magazines, and the star-field and lightsabers were created as before. The headshots of
Ewan McGregor on the left and Jerec on the right simply have reduced opacity, while the Emperor
has a 'lighten' layer effect.
The space ships were just positioned to personal preference and for the blaster fire, I painted
a thin line in the appropriate color and added a slight glow. The explosions were made by painting
a puffy cloud in orange, then another directly on top in yellow, and repeated.
Now, the Darth Magnus on the lower right was a photo still of Darth Maul from Episode One, with
a desaturated and angry Ewan McGregor face placed over his. The Arcus on the lower left was more
tricky. I used an Obi-Wan still from Episode One, took a headshot of actor Christian Bale and placed
it over Ewan's face. Then I altered Bale's hair and added the beard. Finally I used the 'rubber stamp' tool
to copy and paste part of a Episode One droid onto his left leg to create Arcus' cybernetic limb.
