I always wanted to work on detailed designs of the lightsabers that belonged to the original characters from my fan-fiction Star Wars tales. Rather than drawing them, I decided to splice real images together to create the hilts. Many images were used: photographs of props from the films, images of metal pipes, as well as objects constructed by me in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
